Liam Lacy begins his first season as Assistant Coach / Analyst of the men’s soccer program.
Lacy was named Assistant Coach in July 2025 and enters GCU with over 20 years of coaching experience and education including roles within clubs, colleges and national governing bodies.
Prior to his role at GCU, Lacy was the Technical Director at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. During his time at IMG he led the implementation of a program wide curriculum, methodology and performance analysis process while also serving as Head Coach for UPSL and MLS Next teams.
Lacy has worked within NJCAA, NAIA and NCAA college programs in both coaching and faculty roles. In his Adjunct Faculty role at GCU he is the course supervisor for ‘Soccer Coaching: Theory & Practice’ within the College of Natural Sciences. Most recently he was First Team Coach at Glasgow University in Scotland.
Lacy is a certified coach educator with both the Scottish Football Association and U.S Soccer. He holds a USSF ‘A’ License, UEFA ‘A’ License and United Soccer Coaches ‘Master Diploma’. He graduated with a BA in Sports Studies and MSc Performance Coaching from University of Stirling.
