Daniel de Oliveira begins his first season as Associate Head Coach of the men's soccer program and his second season overall with the team.
De Oliveira was named associate head coach in April of 2025 after serving one season as Especial Tactical Coach in 2024.
De Oliveira entered GCU with 20-plus years of coaching experience and coaching education. His international background includes having served as a head coach for multiple clubs in the Venezuelan Professional League, including Yaracuyanos FC, Metropolitanos FC, Estudiantes de Caracas FC, and head coach responsibilities with the Venezuelan U15 and U17 national teams from 2007 to 2010.
De Oliveira's international playing experience includes three seasons with the Senior Venezuelan International team from 1996-98 and competed with the senior team during its qualifying run for the Summer Olympics in Barcelona in 1991.Â
He also has head coaching experience with Arizona clubs, serving as associate head coach for Valley United in 2021 before being elevated to interim head coach in 2022. He most recently was on the Phoenix Rising FC Academy staff in 2023 and 2024.
De Oliveira played professionally for 10 seasons in the United States, Spain, Brazil, Central America and Venezuela with teams such as Deportivo Italia, Carabobo FC, Trujillanos FC, CD Luis Angel Firpo, CD Castellon and CD Almazora.
De Oliveira is a certified FIFA instructor and holds a USSF A coaching license certification and PRO License coaching certification.
