Craig Herrman joined the Grand Canyon University advancement staff in July 2021 as a development associate for athletics.
Herrman grew up in the East Valley and was heavily involved with the Havocs and Spiritual Life while attending GCU, which contributed to his four years as a Lope.
While a student, Herrman worked in the GCU Box Office as an account manager and upon graduation was promoted to box office supervisor. For seven years — between work as a student and as a full-time employee — it afforded Herrman the opportunity to manage a group of student workers, assemble sales promotions that would help sell season tickets and get other employees hands-on experience working over 140 events a year.
Herrman's favorite part of the job was building and developing relationships with GCUÂ fans.
Outside of the office, Herrman enjoys spending time with his wife (a GCU alum and proud RN) discovering local coffee shops and new restaurants.
"I am so excited to transition to the Advancement Department in my new role and bring with me the experience in working with fans and the passion for the growth in our GCU Community," Herrman said.
