Josh Hauser serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications, taking on the role in June 2019 after joining the staff in a full-time capacity in January 2017.
Hauser oversees media relations, creative social media content, publications and the day-to-day operations of the athletic communications office. He serves as the sport contact for the men's basketball and baseball teams.
Joining the department as a full-time employee in January 2017, Hauser started as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and then as Director of Creative Media. He served as the sport contact for baseball and men's soccer, covering three WAC championship teams (2017, 2018 baseball; 2018 men's soccer) in a three-year span.

In his home state of Oregon, Hauser worked six seasons for Sports Enterprises LLC, an ownership group which owned three baseball teams in the state. Hauser managed the media operations for all three clubs, including the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (a minor-league affilate of the San Francisco Giants) as well as two collegiate summer league clubs. Responsibilities among the teams included media relations, website management, social media oversight, graphic design, video board coordination and ballpark experience.

A graduate of North Marion High School in Aurora, Oregon, Hauser served as the statistician for the school’s football, boys basketball and baseball teams all four years and, along with a group of fellow students, founded North Marion’s first weekly sports show, highlighting all the action throughout the school’s athletic department.

While a student at Grand Canyon, Hauser served in GCU Arena’s Digital Production wing, assisting in the facility’s video board production for various events ranging from basketball games to concerts and graduations, and later in the university's Social Media Marketing department.

Hauser graduated with a B.S. in Sports Management and a B.A. in Communications from GCU in December 2016 and a Master of Business Administration in July 2020.
