Grand Canyon University's 5,000-seat Arena promises to fill a void in athletic and performance facilities in the Valley, with a "just-right" capacity for mid-size sporting events, musical performances, speaking engagements and conferences. With its main purpose to host GCU's men's and women's basketball, the Camelback Road location of the 135,000 square foot venue is an ideal location for Christian concerts and outside performances. The facility broke ground in the summer of 2010 and was completed by the start of the 2011-12 basketball season.
