PHOENIX -- The Grand Canyon women's basketball team will look to get back to its winning ways as they host Northern Colorado. This is the second game of a five-game homestand for the Antelopes before heading into conference play. Fans in attendance of Monday's game will receive a free walking taco as well as a free popsicle when leacing GCU Arena.Â
GCU is coming off a tough loss at the hands of South Alabama, 59-56 but the Lopes have won three of their last four games. This will be the final game for Grand Canyon before heading home for Christmas. If the Lopes are able to defeat the Bears on Monday, GCU will have matched last year's win total during non-conference season with six victories. Grand Canyon will look to avenge a loss to Northern Colorado last season, after suffering a defeat in Greeley, Colo., 66-47 to the Bears.Â
As it stands in the Western Athletic Conference, Grand Canyon is tied for the foruth mst victories in the WAC along with Seattle with five wins.Â

Northern Coloradow picked to finish fourth in the coaches Big Sky preseason poll after a 22-win season in 2014-15, advancing all the way to the third round of the WNIT. Head coach Kamie Ethridge is in her second season at UNC and on the floor for her this season is Kyleigh Hiser, who was named to the College Sports Madness Preseason Second Team All-Big Sky. So far this season, Hiser averages a team-high 10.8 points per game, 3.2 rebounds and two assists a game. Â
