Grand Canyon University has announced that its competitive lacrosse program will continue to be offered at the school and will compete as a member in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association. The move is effective for the 2012 season.
The MCLA is a national organization of non-NCAA college lacrosse programs, featuring 213 teams in two divisions and 10 conferences across the United States and Canada.
The program is currently in its final season as a participating member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Grand Canyon is 3-8 overall this season and 2-3 in the first year of the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
