Antelopes' freshman middle hitter Chris Lockwood had seven kills, with no errors (.538), two solo blocks and three service aces at IPFW Friday.

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- Grand Canyon lost 3-0 to Lewis in a Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association match at Neil Carey Arena Friday.
GCU lost by set scores of 30-18, 30-28, 30-26.
The teams finish up the regular season at Carey Arena 5 p.m. Saturday.
Grand Canyon freshman Chris Lockwood (Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood) had 10 kills and 11 digs. Freshman libero Trent Bruns (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo) added 10 digs. Frosh setter Brad Moore (Orange, Calif./Lutheran) had 31 assists and one service ace.
After a tough first set, GCU hit .361 in the second before falling by just two points.
Grand Canyon trailed 28-23 before rallying to cut it to one. Lockwood had a kill and Lewis followed with back-to-back attack errors. A kill from sophomore Nick Jensen (Herning, Denmark/Ikast Gymnasium/NJIT) cut it to 28-27. Lewis followed with the next point, but another Jensen kill cut it to one before the Flyers finished off the set.
GCU was tied 24-24 in the third prior to the Flyers scoring six of the final eight points.
Jensen finished with eight kills and three block assists. Sophomore Brock Hutchins (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland/Hawai'i) had nine kills and two block assists. Freshman Connor Dougherty (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) had eight kills and a .538 attack percentage.
